Description

A timer event to abort a sub-process.

Purpose of object

You can attach this symbol to a sub-process invocation. If the bound sub-process is still running when the timer fires, the sub-process will be aborted.

Create

  1. Create a process model.

  2. Then point the mouse on process. Per default, this field is on the left side of the Designer window.

  3. Click on the folder intermediate events to see its content.

  4. Click on Aborting timer.

  5. Drag it to the sub-process invocation which you want to bind with the timer.

  6. Double click on the timer to set up the delay.

Configuration

To configure the Aborting timer, double click the Aborting timer symbol and type in the required values. You may select the time unit too.
